The management and health staff at Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, today received bouquets of flowers from the Kenya Flower Council and masks donated by Elgon Kenya for the Flowers of Hope caravan. Rotary International representative Dr Josephine Ojiambo handed over the packs to Aga Khan hospital CEO Dr Shawn Bolouki who expressed their appreciation for the visit and encouragement to Covid-19 frontline caregivers. Joy, smiles and excitement received the bouquets as the medics and everywhere along the corridors, hospital staff, patients and visitors alike marvelled at the blooms spectacle. Simply put, the flowers lit up the hospital environment. Those who saw colleagues carrying bouquets asked " where is mine"?
Many thanks to the Kenya Flower Council for getting the flowers from its member growers as the caravan, a Kenya Private Sector Alliance led initiative through which President Uhuru Kenyatta penned a message of hope that's printed on the sleeves supplied by Elgon Kenya.
